As a result of participation in this educational activity, members of the healthcare team will: Identify what complex brain functions and dysfunction are conserved across animal species Assess that mutant Huntingtin protein affects many cellular/molecular paths including mitochondria, autophagosomes, intracellular trafficking or organelles and vesicles, and gene expression Interpret why establishing a temporal order for cellular/molecular defects, and for prodromal and/or early endophenotypes might contribute to slowing down disease progression
