The goal of this program is to improve use of sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) in the management of melanoma and management of ocular and periocular melanoma. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Evaluate the utility of sentinel lymph node biopsy in patients with melanoma. 2. Incorporate updated guidelines by the American Joint Committee on Cancer for the diagnosis and management of melanoma. 3. Select appropriate candidates for adjuvant therapy for melanoma. 4. Compare periocular and cutaneous melanoma. 5. Recognize the clinical characteristics of eyelid melanoma.
