Demand for pharmacotherapy has increased considerably with the introduction of newer anti-obesity medications (AOM s). This case-based session will present a variety of clinical scenarios demonstrating the application of pharmacotherapy in obesity complicated by coexistent health conditions such as DM, HTN, chronic kidney disease, atrial fibrillation, hearth failure, psychiatric disease, and eating disorders. Discussion will include managing comorbidities, applying recent clinical trials, and incorporating guideline recommendations in specific cases. The session will also address identifying weight promoting medications and utilizing alternative agents to improve obesity care.
