1) Discuss the public health significance of the clinical/public health problem. 2) Discuss CDC s role in the investigation of the clinical/public health problem. 3) Describe the epidemiologic/laboratory methods used to investigate the clinical/public health problem. 4) Identify practical public health actions/clinical recommendations that are consistent with the interpretation of the scientific facts. 5) Discuss any unresolved issues related to this clinical/public health problem, and how they might be addressed. 6) Promote health improvement, wellness, and disease prevention in cooperation with patients, communities, at-risk populations, and other members of an inter-professional team of health care providers.
