Multiple sclerosis (MS) is characterized by a large burden of symptoms, such as functional and cognitive impairments, that drastically lower quality of life for patients. Identifying and addressing these issues can be challenging as the process requires dynamic engagement and communication with patients in order to develop a thorough assessment of their clinical symptoms and experiences. What approaches do you utilize to include patients in care? During this 30-minute video, an MS expert will provide insights into: strategies for evaluating the burden of MS on patients’ daily lives developing methods for managing symptoms across a variety of patient populations applying patient-centered techniques such as shared decision-making to engage patients in care. Participants will also have access to a downloadable pocket guide that will highlight key items for treatment selection, including prognostic factors, monitoring treatment response, and patient individualization.
