Activity Description/ Purpose: Join the members of our Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Disease Site Work Group for a discussion on crucial aspects of quality care in HPB cancer surgery. Surgeons will share insights on tools and methods to enhance patient care, covering topics like quality indicators, standard requirements, operative standards, and addressing disparities. Module 2 focuses on the recently published operative standards for cancer surgery from the Commission on Cancer, as well as their implementation and monitoring. Target Audience: This activity is intended for all surgeons and other health care professionals who are involved in the treatment of patients with HPB cancer. Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: -Discuss and apply operative standards for cancer surgery in the field of HPB including strategies for implementation and monitoring in clinical practice.
