The goal of this program is to improve the diagnosis and man agement of primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and alcoholic and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). After hearing and assimilating this pro gram, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Diagnose PSC and PBC. 2. Select appropriate treatment strategies for PSC and PBC. 3. Identify factors that influence the prognosis of a patient with PSC. 4. Elaborate on the advantages of lifestyle modifications in NAFLD management. 5. Analyze the potential benefits and limitations of current pharmacologic therapies for alcoholic and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
