The goal of this program is to improve management of interstitial lung disease (ILD). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Implement updated guidelines regarding the diagnosis and treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). 2. Appraise various treatment modalities for patients with IPF. 3. Modify treatment of ILD among patients who experience disease progression. 4. Evaluate the clinical benefits of antifibrotic agents in the treatment of ILD. 5. Recognize adverse effects associated with immunosuppres sive therapies commonly used to treat ILD.
