Medical literature has historically lacked visual representation of people of color. This, in turn, has led to challenges in identifying infectious diseases in people with darker skin tones. The presenter discusses the lack of representation and the impact on people of color. This module also reviews the current resources available to bridge this gap in knowledge. Media of various infectious diseases are shown on skin of varying shades.
