This 1-hour, journal article-based CME activity reviewed a qualitative study of clinician beliefs and perceptions about the impacts of changes to the delivery of medication treatment for opioid use disorder (MOUD) during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on the switch to care delivery via telemedicine. Perceived benefits and limitations of telemedicine as a care delivery modality for MOUD and beliefs about impacts on patient safety and well-being were explored. Implications for post-pandemic continuance of telemedicine in MOUD care were also discussed.
