The goal of this program is to improve the management of advanced liver disease and diagnosis of pancreatic cancer (PC). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Assess the diagnostic and prognostic potential of the microbiota in advanced liver disease. 2. Choose an appropriate treatment approach for a patient with liver disease and cognitive impairment. 3. Evaluate the effect of the microbiome on outcomes following liver transplantation. 4. Identify individuals who are at increased risk of developing pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. 5. Use appropriate surveillance strategies for individuals at high risk for PC.
