Surgical Fires/Blood Testing/Chronic Cough

NOTE: This activity is available only as part of a paid subscription series; it is not available for purchase as a single, stand-alone activity. The goal of this program is to prevent and improve the mitigation of surgical fires during otolaryngology procedures, the utilization of human papillomavirus (HPV) circulating tumor DNA test for prognostication of oropharyngeal cancers, and the management of chronic cough in children. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Implement strategies for preventing surgical fires during otolaryngologic procedures. 2. Use the circulating tumor HPV DNA (ctDNA) test for diagnosis, risk stratification, and prognostication of oropharyngeal cancers. 3. Evaluate the role of the ctDNA test in surveillance after therapy for oropharyngeal cancer. 4. Formulate a differential diagnosis for chronic cough in children. 5. Choose among available treatment options for chronic cough in children.
