Pancreatic panniculitis is inflammation of the subcutaneous tissue, usually on the lower extremities, stemming from a pancreatic disease. This rare dermatological manifestation can develop secondary to pancreatitis or pancreatic malignancy. The presentation can precede the common symptoms of pancreatic disease; it is essential to promptly diagnose and treat the underlying cause. This activity reviews the presentation, proposed pathophysiology, histology, evaluation, and treatment of pancreatic panniculitis and examines the need for an interprofessional team to evaluate and treat patients with pancreatic panniculitis.
