Forearm fractures are very commonly seen in trauma and emergency, especially in the pediatric age group. Such injuries may occur as a result of direct as well as indirect trauma. The presenting symptoms include acute pain and swelling, and local tenderness and visible deformity at the site of trauma are seen on examination. The forearm fractures are usually managed by surgical fixation, including closed reduction or open reduction and internal fixation. This activity reviews the evaluation and management of forearm fractures and highlights the role of the interprofessional team in evaluating and managing patients with this condition.
