Chronic pain is a leading chief complaint in an adult ambulatory care setting. Unfortunately, chronic non-cancer pain is often poorly understood by practioners as it does not respond to pharmacological monotherapy. This activity reviews the evaluation, management, and treatment of chronic non-cancer pain with highlighting the role of the interprofessional team in the care of patients with chronic non-cancer pain.
