Superior labrum lesions, or frequently referred to as superior labrum anterior to posterior (SLAP) tears, are a subset of injuries of the labrum in the shoulder that occur in acute and chronic/degenerative settings. There is a wide variety of pathology, and patient-specific characteristics and goals heavily influence treatment options. This activity reviews the evaluation and treatment of SLAP tears and highlights the role of the interprofessional team in managing patients with this condition.
