ABEM MyEMSCert: Cardiovascular Emergencies

ABEM MyEMSCert: Cardiovascular Emergencies

MyEMSCert is a new way for EMS-certified physicians to stay certified. Physicians certified in EMS must participate in the EMS continuing certification process. ABEM believes that physicians who continue to practice Emergency Medicine in addition to their subspecialty should continue to maintain their EM certification. EMS continuing certification is moving to a module-based process similar to Emergency Medicine s MyEMCert. The process will be shifting from a high-stakes exam administered in a testing center to modules that physicians can take from home. MyEMSCert consists of a reading list of articles for candidates to prepare to take the MyEMSCert test. Core elements of MyEMSCert include topic-specific modules that incorporate relevant subjects in EMS; open-book modules that can be completed anywhere, anytime; immediate feedback pass/fail results, correct answers, and rationales; and content that keeps you informed about knowledge advancements in the specialty.
