It presents with an inability to pass meconium within the first 24 to 48 hours of life, and It must be properly differentiated from similar conditions. As it presents with obstruction, it must be treated accordingly and swiftly. This activity reviews the clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment, of meconium plug syndrome, and highlights the interdepartmental communication and coordination between pediatricians and other care providers who treat these neonates.
