The RUSH Protocol: Core Clinical Ultrasound Module teaches one how to perform the Rapid Ultrasound in Shock (RUSH) examination. It discusses the anatomy and potential findings visualized in the components of the RUSH exam known as the pump, tank, and pipes. Sonographic techniques and scanning approaches used when administering the RUSH protocol are presented. The course concludes with imaging tips and pitfalls, a series of case studies, and a summary of salient teaching points. One develops the requisite cognitive task awareness and visuospatial skills required to perform the RUSH protocol through 10 different hands-on simulation cases.
