The goal of this program is to improve management of patients with left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) undergoing noncardiac surgery. After hearing and assimilating the program, the clinicians will be better able to:
1. Select intraoperative monitoring modalities for patients with LVADs undergoing noncardiac surgery.
2. Initiate resuscitatory efforts for patients with LVADs in cardiac arrest.
