Increasingly, patients are turning to non-Western traditions of medicine for complementary care. Acupuncture is one well studied medical tradition that has shown promise in many ENT diseases. Herein we seek to elucidate the evidence-base for acupuncture in ENT. We will demonstrate general techniques with opportunity for live simulation, discuss how to integrate acupuncture into an ENT practice, and go through case studies to illustrate. As comprehensive otolaryngologists, we have an opportunity to successfully integrate East-West Medicine into our practice for the benefit of our patients.
