This lecture will review and analyze different anxiety disorders seen in adolescents and adults. The latest medications and psychotherapy techniques will be reviewed, as well as when Primary Care Physicians should refer patients to a specialist.
Objectives:
Learners will review and analyze different anxiety disorders in adolescents and adults.
Learners will identify risk management and potential patient safety concerns.
Learners will evaluate and describe how to initiate treatment with medications or psychotherapy.
Learners will assess their ability to treat a patient with medications or psychotherapy and when they should refer to a specialist.
Learners will improve patient care by assessing, analyzing, and effectively selecting the latest medications and psychotherapy techniques when treating patients with anxiety disorders.
