The goal of this program is to improve management of colonic ischemia and hereditary colon cancer syndromes, outcomes of complex polypectomy, and training of gastroenterologists in the postpandemic era. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Determine whether a patient with colonic ischemia is a candidate for colonoscopy.
2. Recognize hallmark signs of colonic ischemia.
3. Predict risk for familial colon cancer syndromes based on colonoscopy findings.
4. Choose an appropriate resection technique based on polyp characteristics.
5. Anticipate changes in colonoscopy volumes during the post-pandemic period.
