SINUSITIS/REVIEW OF GERIATRIC LITERATURE

The goal of this program is to improve the management of acute and chronic rhinosinusitis and common medical con-ditions seen in geriatric patients. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Select appropriate treatment strategies for acute and chronic rhinosinusitis.
2. Differentiate between diagnostic criteria for acute and chronic rhinosinusitis.
3. Use appropriate imaging modalities for diagnosis of rhinosinusitis.
4. Recommend pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic inter¬ventions in older adults with Alzheimer dementia.
5. Review evidence-based recommendations for treatment of common medical conditions that occur in geriatric patients.
