The goal of this program is to improve assessment of quality of life in patients with pancreaticobiliary cancer, management of pancreatic cancer with vascular involvement, and management of locally advanced pancreatic cancer. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Identify common challenges that affect quality of life in patients with pancreatic cancer.
2. Choose an appropriate method for evaluation of vascular involvement in patients with pancreatic cancer.
3. Utilize methods of arterial and venous resection to minimize risk for morbidity and mortality.
4. Develop strategies for treatment of locally advanced pancreatic tumors.
5. Describe the benefits of irreversible electroporation for management of locally advanced pancreatic cancer.
