The goal of this program is to improve the management of shoulder and elbow injuries using orthobiologics. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Explain the role of different growth factors and cytokines in soft tissue healing. 2. Compare various preparations of platelet-rich plasma (PRP). 3. Cite evidence assessing the platelet requirements for chondroprotective effects using PRP in knee injury. 4. Explain the current state of evidence regarding the efficacy of PRP in partial thickness rotator cuff repair. 5. Assess the efficacy of collagen patches for rotator cuff repair.
