The goal of this program is to improve diagnosis and management of pediatric obesity. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Cite 2023 recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics for management of pediatric obesity. 2. List risk factors for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease in pediatric obesity. 3. Explain the mechanism of action of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists. 4. Optimize use of pharmacologic treatment of pediatric obesity in patients with cardiovascular disease. 5. Use topiramate in obese pediatric patients with epilepsy.
