There are no gold-standard modalities or algorithms that are used in treating perioperative pain in both abdominal and anorectal surgery. With the advent of ERAS protocols, there has been an attempt to standardize pain control methods in abdominal surgery; however, there are still differing approaches in regard to technique, dosage, and timing of administration. In the era of avoidance and/or attempts at decreasing narcotic usage, this webinar will attempt to explore different modalities of pain control in colorectal surgery and give an update on conscientious narcotic usage in the perioperative period. At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to: 1. Recognize complex colorectal polyps on endoscopy, pathology, and imaging 2. Arrange appropriate investigations and assessment for complex colorectal polyps 3. Choose among the different treatment options currently available for complex colorectal polyps
