Syringoma

Syringoma

This course focuses on syringomas, a prevalent cutaneous adnexal neoplasm originating from luminal cells of sweat ducts and marked by distinctive ductal differentiation. Recognized as a common dermatological challenge, syringomas present unique complexities in diagnosis and management. The etiology, epidemiological patterns, and characteristic histopathology of syringomas will be discussed. Particular emphasis is placed on the widespread distribution of these lesions, especially in the periorbital region and lower lids, often raising cosmetic concerns for patients.Participants will be given information concerning the clinical and dermoscopic approaches essential for accurate diagnosis. Additionally, the course explores the available treatment modalities, ranging from observation to surgical interventions, providing evidence-based insights into their efficacy. The curriculum also underscores the importance of interprofessional collaboration and transparent communication within the healthcare team, which is essential for preventing errors and ensuring comprehensive patient care.
