It is critically important to diagnosis Alzheimer s disease (AD) early in the disease course, and health care professionals (HCPs) are positioned to attain this by implementing a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach to serve the diverse population of patients with AD who encounter different entry points to screening and treatment due to geographic and financial factors. Through validated diagnostic tools, patient and caregiver education, a culturally sensitive approach, and shared decision-making (SDM), HCPs can improve the care, treatment, and monitoring of these individuals. In the second activity of this CME Outfitters BriefCase series, expert faculty will utilize a patient case format to illustrate approaches for diagnosing AD, implementing treatment that includes MDT care, and practicing SDM to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
