The UW Department of Emergency Medicine (EM) Critical Care Grand Rounds series gives stage to the leaders in our specialty to present on topics that are high yield for faculty, residents, advanced practice providers (APPs), medical students, and other medical professionals. This conference specifically highlights a case based discussion of critical care topics including, resuscitation, advanced management of critical illness, and critical care diagnostics. Global Objectives As a result of participation in this educational series, members of the healthcare team will be able to: Apply new knowledge and skills to the care of critically ill patients. Develop strategies to apply the interprofessional competencies in their team-based practice in order to function effectively as an interprofessional team. Utilize peer-reviewed publications on Critical Care topics on an ongoing basis to support bedside implementation of current research as clinical best practices.
