Thyroid disease is very common in the general population and has even higher prevalence for women. Thyroid disease can have implications for the peri-pregnancy period and pregnancy is a risk factor for post-partum thyroid disease. Additionally, as women age, thyroid disorders impact risk for osteoporosis. Women s Health interprofessional healthcare teams may not be aware of gender-specific thyroid care; this recorded, knowledge-based webinar will address diagnosis and management of thyroid disease including appropriate interpretation of lab results, dose adjustments for thyroid supplementation in the peri-pregnancy periods, and the impact of treatments regarding reproductive care.
