The goal of this program is to improve diagnosis of papilledema, diagnosis of idiopathic intracranial hypertension, management of idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH), and management of innervation disorders that affect the cornea. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Use patient history, physical examination, and ancillary testing to distinguish between papilledema and pseudopapilledema. 2. Perform a workup to rule out secondary causes of elevated intracranial pressure. 3. Employ nonsurgical interventions for management of IIH. 4. Review the benefits and drawbacks of surgical intervention for IIH. 5. Develop strategies for management of innervation disorders that affect the cornea.
