The 15th Annual International Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship Conference is planned and implemented interprofessionally by physicians, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists. This Hybrid [In Person and Webinar] activity is designed for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists working in the areas of pediatrics, internal & family medicine, allergy, infectious diseases, microbiology, immunology. It may also be of interest to physician assistants, researchers, data analysts, hospital administrators, and all involved in caring for children. This course will provide education through lectures, small group discussions, and questions & answers. highlight the Antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASP) and specific strategies that have improved antibiotic use in both inpatient and outpatient settings. These programs have led to improved outcomes and cost savings. The CDC and the Joint Commission have established the core elements that should be present for all inpatient and outpatient ASPs. The intended result of this course is to increase knowledge, skills, performance and patient care.
