The goal of this program is to improve the management of common pediatric head and neck emergencies, treatment of congenital sensorineural hearing loss, and identification of optimal pediatric patients for in-office placement of pressure equalizing (PE) tubes. After hearing and assimilating this pro-gram, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Optimize management of external otitis in pediatric patients.
2. Compare longitudinal temporal bone fractures with trans-verse fractures.
3. Explain management of mucosal flaps in pediatric patients.
4. Choose appropriate imaging for diagnosis in sensory neu-ral hearing loss.
5. Differentiate among pediatric patients to identify optimal candidates for in-office placement of PE tubes.
