Hospital environments with a highly loaded workflow such as an ICU generate and consume tremendous volumes of data. Medical informatics helps collect, store, and analyze healthcare data generated by patients. Different data standards influence the whole process of biomedical data handling, while different data-driven or expert-driven diagnostic, prognostic, and prediction models generate new or transform already available data. Using systematic methodology, we reviewed and summarized the most notable literature in the domain of intensive care informatics published during 2023.
