In this session, speakers will compare and contrast two models of telecritical care (TCC) support during the COVID-19 pandemic: expanding in-place TCC capabilities versus adding new TCC support to healthcare systems when and where it is needed, using the National Emergency Tele-Critical Care Network (NETCCN). NETCCN was developed as part of a military, federal, and professional partnership to provide critical care expertise to resource-limited hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through a competitive process, clinical-technical teams were evaluated and down-selected to best-in-class solutions for delivering TCC expertise to locations without a prior relationship, infrastructure, or policy.
