The Annual HIV/HCV Update conference is designed to reach health care providers & community members in the state of New Mexico who provide HIV treatment & prevention services and Hepatitis C treatment & prevention services. As DHHS HIV treatment guidelines, AASLD and IDSA HCV Guidelines, and CDC and US Preventative Task Force screening recommendations are continually updated, continuing education for all team members is required. Educational needs are met through didactic training presented by the health care providers who are specialists in their area and using the ECHO model, providers learn from specialists and each other by presenting cases and from the cases presented by others.
