Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support (PFCCS) focuses exclusively on fundamental concepts and skill practice for professional providers who may be involved in the initial management and transfer of critically ill or injured infants and children. PFCCS prepares non-intensivists, nurses, and critical care practitioners to manage acute deterioration of critically ill pediatric patients in the areas of acute respiratory failure and mechanical ventilation, sedation, shock, transportation, neurologic emergencies, and more. The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge, confidence, and skill of healthcare providers to more quickly and accurately assess, diagnose, and treat various conditions for critically ill or injured pediatric patients.
