Tumor Board RSS Interprofessional Education Collaborative 2025 are monthly. Twelve sessions held yearly: Jan 15, Feb 19, Mar 19, Apr 16, May 21, June 18, July 16, Aug 20, Sep 17, Oct 15, Nov 19, Dec 17. A group of faculty/attending physicians including hematology/oncologists; radiologists, and pathologists, are involved in presenting cases. A patient care coordinator for radiology prepares the case information, which includes the utilization of a template listing the case to be presented with explicit requirements for information about the patient’s relevant cultural background. This is particularly important at our facility which serves a vibrant multicultural community with many immigrants from Latin America and Asia. A PowerPoint template lists the cases and pathology images which is presented by a pathologist. Images from the case are considered by the entire team as appropriate specific plans for patient management and education is developed. The PACS Administrator uploads images for a Radiologist to present and for the interprofessional team to discuss. Purpose: to give the various specialists and ancillary providers caring for cancer patients, the opportunity to review all of the pertinent medical facts about individual cases, including imaging and pathology, and determine the best course of action. Expected results: Notes about the findings and pertinent recommendations discussed are taken and sent to the physician presenting the case; these findings and recommendations are expected to help the physician make the most appropriate decisions regarding the care of specific patients.
