The goal of this program is to improve the management of abdominal pain in children and treatment of common allergic gastrointestinal (GI) disorders in children. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Use medications to manage irritable bowel syndrome with constipation.
2. Optimize use of fecal calprotectin to assess inflammation in children.
3. Manage small intestine bacterial overgrowth through use of rifaximin.
4. Differentiate IgE-mediated from non-IgE-mediated reactions.
5. Administer dupilumab in children with eosinophilic esophagitis.
