Pharmacy technicians play a vital role in improving health outcomes and must strive to provide inclusive health care in an environment inundated with persistent disparities. It is imperative that pharmacy technicians understand the root cause of these disparities, social determinants of health (SDoH), racism, discrimination, and implement actionable countermeasures to improve care delivery for patients in the communities in which they live.
In this CMEOutfitter’s Snack series, expert faculty will open a discussion around the dynamic and evolving topics of bias, racism, discrimination, and cultural humility that will illustrate strategies and actionable steps for pharmacy technicians to achieve inclusive patient management and equitable care, including removing barriers, making accommodations, and delivering informed and sensitive care.
