The goal of this program is to improve management of acute optic neuritis (AON). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Perform clinical evaluations and diagnostic testing to determine the etiology of AON.
2. Describe the trajectory of visual recovery from AON with and without steroid treatment.
3. Assess risk for multiple sclerosis in the setting of AON with or without interferon therapy.
