The goal of this program is to improve the management of adolescent mental health following the COVID-19 pandemic and adverse childhood experiences. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Identify various signs and symptoms of childhood and adolescent depression.
2. Recommend appropriate treatment strategies for depression and anxiety in children and adolescents.
3. Recognize the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the detection and management of adolescent depression.
4. Detect the risk for behavioral issues using appropriate screening modalities for adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in children and adolescents.
5. Promote resiliency in children and adolescents with ACEs.
