The Advanced Radiology Life Support (ARLS) DVD series has been developed based on a course offered multiple times annually and is the third DVD revision. The series provides education regarding life-threatening emergencies in radiology departments and includes moderate sedation and airway management. It also provides up-to-date material about nephrogenic systemic fibrosis (NSF) and contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN). Joint Commission requires formal training in moderate sedation and airway management for physicians, nurses, and allied health personnel involved with the administration of moderate sedation materials. This series provides one mechanism for individuals to attain identified competency requirements. We have also offered live courses both on-site in Rochester and paired with other destination CME meetings.
