The goal of this program is to improve practice of anaesthesia use during imaging studies in children and treatment of epidermolysis bullosa. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Explain current thinking regarding exposure to radiation associated with computed tomography in the pediatric population.
2. Optimize use of the feed and swaddle technique during imaging in pediatric patients.
3. Choose appropriate anesthesia and sedation for magnetic resonance imaging in pediatric patients.
4. Differentiate among various types of epidermolysis bullosa.
5. Develop effective treatment strategies in patients with epidermolysis bullosa.
