The goal of this program is to improve management of atopic dermatitis, food allergy, and asthma, use of biologic agents for treatment of allergic conditions, and management of scabies and pinworm. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Compare first-generation antihistamines and second-generation antihistamines. 2. Select appropriate therapy for management of atopic dermatitis and food allergy. 3. Describe the genetic and environmental contributors to predisposition and development of allergic conditions. 4. Prescribe biologic agents for the treatment of asthma and common allergic conditions. 5. Treat scabies and pinworms in children.
