The goal of this program is to improve surgical outcomes in ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and outcomes in pediatric patients with the use of informatics. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Identify patients who are good candidates for surgery at an ASC.
2. Ensure ASC requirements are fulfilled before performing surgery.
3. Compose electronic health records based on various social determinants of health and other demographic data.
4. Implement measures to reduce appointment cancellations and no-shows in the clinical setting.
5. Define the air quality measurements that lead to severe asthma, reactive airway disease, and other diseases relevant to anesthesiology.
