The goal of this program is to improve the delivery of anes thesia care at rural hospitals using efficient care team models and management of mental health disorders among health care workers (HCWs). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Acknowledge the workforce challenges anesthesia prac tices are experiencing today. 2. Compare various anesthesia staffing models. 3. Highlight areas of focus vital to the success of an anesthe sia team. 4. Cite factors that contribute to the high rate of mental health disorders, burnout, and suicide among HCWs. 5. Implement strategies to identify and manage mental health disorders among HCWs.
