The goal of this program is to improve metrics for anesthesia and patient safety and management of pediatric patients receiving nerve blocks.. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Implement strategies to balance patient safety with access to anesthesiology providers.
2. Integrate multiple elements into metrics for mortality and morbidity related to anesthesia.
3. Use ultrasonography-guided nerve blocks to provide regional anesthesia to pediatric patients.
4. Choose procedures for regional anesthesia to avoid motor block.
5. Select a nerve block for patients undergoing abdominal surgery.
